Earlier this week we reported on an alliance of radical American organizations with Muslim student ones that called for an Islamic “revolution in America” to match the Arab Spring revolutions overseas.  There are others in America doing their part for such a revolution.

Faisal Mohammad went on a stabbing spree that wounded four people before he was killed by a police officer.  The FBI has concluded after researching the attack that he was a so-called “lone wolf” attacker inspired by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).  He became self-radicalized by ISIS propaganda, according to the FBI’s leading theory about the case.  The attack did not become famous because it happened so close in time to the San Bernardino shootings, in which a radical Islamic husband and wife cell killed dozens at a Christmas party.  ISIS claimed their attacks as well

The evidence that stabber Mohammad was an ISIS-linked killer is fairly persuasive.

The FBI says the college freshman from Santa Clara, California, had visited the websites of ISIS and other extremist groups for several weeks….  During the rampage, Mohammad carried a backpack containing a two-page, hand-written “manifesto,” detailing plans to bind students to their desks with zip-tie handcuffs, authorities have said. Then, he was going to make a fake 911 distress call, ambush responding officers with a hunting knife and steal their guns to shoot a list of targeted classmates.

Mohammad’s backpack also held a photocopy of an ISIS flag and a list of items he would need for the attack, the FBI said.

Meanwhile, an Iraq-born refugee in America has been charged in court with trying to return to Syria to join the ISIS terrorist organization. Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab stands charged with lying to investigators and providing material support to terrorism.  He was admitted as a refugee to the United States in 2012.  Advocates for greatly increasing the number of refugees from the Syrian civil war have claimed that they are mostly a peace-loving group, but obscure that they have no effective way of screening for counterexamples like Mr. Al-Jayab.

This comes at a time when Texas game wardens have had to begin carrying radiation detectors in order to help discover caches of radioactive material being smuggled into the United States. The change comes some years after the Port of Houston began using radiation detectors to scan large ships.  Now, even small fishing boats will be scanned in case they are transporting dangerous material that could be used for dirty bombs.
