We are all aware of the barbaric acts of ISIS, al Qaeda and the others flying the Black Flag. Sadly their violence continues to kill innocents around the world and here at home. They fight in the cause of Jihad to impose their totalitarian religion on all people. But they are not the only ones working toward that goal. There are other Islamist groups who seem much less dangerous on the surface, but actually represent an even more insidious threat to free western society. They seek to use our very freedoms as weapons against us.
This 4th of July we are reminded of our country’s independence, the cherished freedoms our founding fathers affirmed, and the countless individuals who have fought for those freedoms. However, some individuals and groups are using it as a springboard to further their Islamist agenda. We have already seen the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for the U.S. revealed in a document labeled An Explanatory Memorandum: On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, how the Brotherhood is directing a “grand jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a Muslim Brotherhood affiliated group that is using this strategy by invoking fundamental U.S. freedoms such as religious liberty, to promote Sharia law.
Dr. Zainab Chaudry, Maryland Outreach Manager and spokeswoman for CAIR, recently wrote an article to the left wing Huffington Post titled Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness: An American Muslim Perspective, essentially alleging that Muslim Americans are being denied freedoms outlined in our country’s founding documents. Chaudry talks about how for Muslims and other “marginalized groups” American ideals such as liberty and equality are “conditional, nominal or subject to interpretation.” Of course Chaudry faults ‘Islamophobia’ for this supposed discrimination and references a CAIR report that shows organizations propagating ‘Islamophobia’ between 2008-2013 “had access to at least $205,838,077 in total revenue” (quoting the actual report). A lot of the organizations comprised of the report’s “inner core” of the “Islamophobia network” like the Center for Security Policy and the Middle East Forum are dedicated to opposing Islamism, not Islam. It’s indicative of Chaudry’s Islamist intentions that she would appeal to the Constitution for religious freedom such as a Muslim’s right to worship and also reference a report that makes combatting a system of governance (Sharia law) hostile to our Constitution anti-Muslim.
It’s also the same report that includes “a perceived or real Muslim threat” in its definition of ‘Islamophobia.’ (Emphasis added.) Words have meanings, and the meaning of the word “phobia” is “an irrational fear.” A real threat is rationally feared. CAIR’s own language makes clear that they are not interested in distinguishing between rational and irrational concerns, but in silencing and slandering their opponents.
Muslim Brotherhood operatives like Chaudry do not care about the values of this country nor do they care about ordinary Muslims trying to make a better life for themselves in America. They will keep invoking religious liberty and tolerance, but what they really want is for Sharia to become the norm. Chaudry labels herself as a woman’s rights activist, so maybe it’s time for her to examine the inferior status women receive under Sharia and in the Islamic world as a whole. It’s time to expose Chaudry’s duplicity. Religious liberty does not include political Islam.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Obama administration have joined in endorsing a heckler’s veto on freedom of speech in violation of America’s most deeply-held political principles.
In sharia, the word translated as “slander” is the Arabic word ghiba. It means to say anything about someone that they do not like, even though it is true.
